My Poems

Normally, my poetry is either romantic, tragic, or both. I'll be posting one of each genre on this page and hope you like my poems enough to want to pay for more. I may occasionally post some more of my poetry on the forums, so watch out for that!

I Don't Suppose

I don't suppose

You feel the flutter

In your chest, when

You look at me, and

I smile back at you

I don't suppose

You always want

To hold my hand

To grasp it tight

And never let it go

I don't suppose

You daydream

Of the taste of

My lips

On yours

I don't suppose

When you get up

Each morning, you

Comb your hair not for

Your friends, but me

I don't suppose

You feel it too

The love outshining

A million stars,

A billion sunsets

Because I do

For you.

The Rest

Tears creep up

But I wipe them away

I attempt a smile

The sullen look will stay

I flick through

My old photos

Two people

In most.

They hold hands

Or sing

Or laugh

Or kiss

Every time her face

Or her smile

Shows up,

I die more.

Anger overcomes me

I slam the album back down

I walk over to the door

And know I am the clown

The one who made

Others laugh

Others happy

But always crying inside

I miss her

But she'll never know

But i must keep on

And so I will go

Out of this door

And out of this shell

I'll show my true colors

Even if it brings me hell

She was the only one

Who ever saw me

And now with her gone

The rest will, too.

 Once lost, Found anew

A hollow smile

Sad eyes following

The shadow of her form

As she walks away

He turns away

Never seeing the shadow

Glance back and

Hesitate, but leave

He raises his hand

To cover his eyes

Weeping away the sorrows

Ever present in his soul

Back home, he

Picks up her scent

Runs, leaps, throws open the door

And sees only a leftover jacket

Disappointment

Resentment

All mixing up in mind

But love, love, love

It doesn't go away

Her face in his head

The love he felt

No, the love he still feels

His friends know

He is not himself

They say he is sad

His smile is not a smile

He knows all this

Reminded of it day in

Day out

But someone knows

Someone knows his sorrow

His pain

His broken heart

His shattered soul

The days, they mesh

Together

He moves, but

He does not live.

He goes through his drawers

Chokes back a sob

The letter she gave

Was still there

Shaking hands careful

He unfolded the paper

Read the words

That had always ended in

"How I wish I could say more

But there are too little words

To express the love I do feel

For you, my darling. My love."

His heart called out

His mind was set

His soul was aching

His body moved

He gathered up the money

He still had left

Taking a last look at her

Picture, he left

He walked in the train station

Pishing past the ones

Who knew not of his want

His need

I got close to

The train, the thing that

Would lead me back

To her, to love once lost

The train arrives
People get off
My eyes barely
Flick about

But as I walk past
She appears from the
Doors, and sees him
My heart beats painfully

People shout
As he pushes past
He doesn't care
She doesn't either

Finally the distance
Is closed, we're here
I see in her eyes
The regret, the pain

Her eyes, a mirror
Of my own
A choked gasp breaks through
But she knows too.

We embrace
Moisture gathers into tears
My shoulder becomes soaked
So does hers.
